Well what are the odds that with all the camera gear at my disposal and traveling half way around the world to chase storms that its a camera phone and a local chase that gets me my largest audience ever!
Sunday was certainly an amazing chase day, I was going to run north where the conditions were more favourable but instead decided to head east for the mountains and try to get an impressive vantage point to watch cell development over the Melbourne metro area.
The results were amazing, seeing a shelf cloud is a rare sight in Melbourne but actually meeting one head on at a similar elevation is a truly breathtaking experience, never to be forgotten.
Many thanks go out to everyone who shared the video, especially Victorian Storm Chasers (VSC) I would never have been able to reach such a wide audience without your help!
Finally some luck went my way and clearskies graced Victoria, Australia for a lovely lunar eclipse!

Well it has been an eventful week for storms in Melbourne. Storms exploded across the state of Victoria from midday through to the following morning with significant damage across the eastern suburbs.
